Ananda Village Invites the Public to Temple of Light and Open House
All are welcome to tour the recently completed $3.85 million Temple of Light at Ananda Village Sept. 21.
A ribbon cutting, interfaith ceremony and open house is scheduled 10:30am-3:00pm. The Temple of Light is dedicated to Indian spiritual teacher Paramhansa Yogananda and the world’s major religions. It features a glass cupola and niches honoring Buddhism, Sikhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism and Islam.
The temple was created as a blessing to the world. The community regularly meditate in the space, public Sunday services, and offer healing prayers to those in need.
Those who attend the open house are also invited to enjoy lunch ($8.00) on the lawn downtown at Ananda Village, visit Ananda’s Crystal Hermitage gardens, the Living Wisdom School (preschool through high school), find out about Ananda businesses.
Ananda Village is a world brotherhood community of over 200 residents dedicated to following Yogananda’s teachings of high ideals and simple living.
