Join our residents and guests for our weekly Sunday Service which includes prayer, chanting, meditation and inspirational readings from the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita, all in the tradition of Paramhansa Yogananda. Every Sunday from 10-10:45 (Purification Ceremony*) and 11-12:30 (Service), at the Temple of Light.
*The Purification Ceremony includes two parts: an ancient traditional Vedic fire ceremony with the chanting of the Gayatri and Mahamritunjaya mantras, and the Purification Ceremony, where an individual’s silent prayer to God is supported by the presence and blessing from the minister, acting only as a reminder and representative of the presence of God within us.
Sunday School is available for children from 11am to 12:30 (contact [email protected])
After service, delicious vegetarian lunch is served at 12:30pm. The cost is $12 per person. Call to reserve for lunch 530-478-7518 Ext. 1.
