Overnight visitors to Ananda Village can choose to stay at the Expanding Light or the Meditation Retreat. Banyan House (our school dorm) is also open during the summer, especially for families with children.
The Expanding Light, our community’s main retreat center, offers a wide variety of programs on practical spiritual living, as well as Personal Retreat for those who prefer a less structured stay. Hearty vegetarian meals and optional twice-daily sessions of yoga and meditation are included in your stay. Rates vary with your choice of housing and program.
The Meditation Retreat, located on the original land on which Ananda Village was founded, is perfect for guests who prefer a more secluded stay. The quiet setting is especially supportive for those who wish to spend time on their own in reflection or inner renewal. More
Vegetarian meals can be reserved in advance and enjoyed in the retreat dining room, or book a cabin with a kitchen and prepare your own.
For Families with Children
(available during the summer, when school is not in session)
Though officially the dormitory for our junior and senior high school students, during the summer this facility is open to accommodate families with children, in addition to other guests. Purchase meals at the Expanding Light or Master’s Market, or prepare your own in Banyan House’s kitchen. More
